On A Wilderness Pack Trip

Enjoy world-class fishing for native cutthroat on the South Fork Flathead River and it’s tributaries on our wilderness packtrips! For more information, click here.

At The Dude Ranch

Fishermen who stay at the guest ranch can test their skill on cutthroats, rainbows and brown trout in the legendary waters of the Big Blackfoot River – made famous in the movie “A River Runs Through It”. There is also opportunity to enjoy a combination horse back/fishing day ride to one of the more remote mountain streams and lakes. And of course the on-ranch trout ponds will give fishermen of all ages a chance to hook the big one! For more information, click here.

Testimonial

"A group of us have been taking an annual fly fishing trip now for more than 15 years. We've fished Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and considered other exotic destinations, but next month we will make our 4th trip into 'The Bob' with Rich Ranch. There are numerous reasons for this being our preferred destination but in truth, the fishing is a bonus. Don't interpret that the wrong way, for what we enjoy most we haven't identified a better fly fishing experience anywhere in the world.
Prior to our first trip I traveled and worked in Montana extensively for 10 years building relationships and seeking local knowledge while looking for great experiences. Two things kept floating to the top.
'The Bob' and Rich Ranch. Our expectations have always been exceeded on both counts. Along the way we've learned to appreciate the horses, the scenery, the campfires, the wilderness experience and the detachment from the rest of the world. But as much as anything else, we've learned to appreciate and cherish Jack and his family's love for their back yard and willingness to share it with us. Their passion and stewardship for this special place is infectious and each time we leave with our soul cleansed, renewed vigor for our day to day lives and enthusiastically anticipating our return. For us it is the trip of a lifetime...again."
